Jerome Bonnafont: Mubarak, Chirac discuss Middle East, Iraq, Iran,

"French President Jacques Chirac and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak discussed in Paris Wednesday developments in Iraq, "French Presidential spokesman Jerome Bonnafont said.
Chirac expressed France's readiness to attend the international Iraq conference, to be held in Cairo in November, according to the spokesman.
As for the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the French President welcomed Egyptian efforts in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority (PA), Bonnafont said.
Iran and Sudan's western Darfur region have also figures high in the discussions, he added.
At the beginning of the talks, the spokesman said, Chirac condoled with Mubarak over the people killed in the recent Taba attacks.
Chirac also praised what he termed excellent Egyptian- French relations, Bonnafont added. The French President accepted an invitation from Mubarak to visit Egypt, the spokesman said.
Bonnafont said both sides generally agreed about the Iranian nuclear issues. International terrorism also came high on the agenda of the meeting, the spokesman said.
