European, Gulf tourism to Egypt will not be affected by Taba explosions, Washington warns citizens

The European tourism and aviation companies said on Friday that its work will not be affected as a result of the series of explosions which took place against tourism resorts on the Red Sea in Egypt.

The two companies of TUA and Thomas Cook, the largest tourism and transport companies in Europe announced that none of their clients was hit in the attacks, noting that there will be no adverse impact on the booking operations to spend vacations there.

A spokesman for TUA defined tourists to Taba by saying it is often visited by the Israelis to spend their vacation, expressing his conviction that there will be no durable effect on the booking operations for visiting Egypt.

TUA company said that it, together with Cook company and other European tourism companies are proposing an offer to spend vacations in southern parts of Egypt like Sharm Esh Sheikh, near Taba. The company expected an increase in the number of visitors to Egypt to more than one third of the current year.

European airline companies including Deutch Luftfanza of Germany announced its flights were not affected in the booking operations.

The British Airways and the Spanish Iberia company said that its flights are flying to Cairo as usual.
