El-Baz: Arabs capable of deterring any aggression
Egypt-Regional, Politics, 10/8/2004
Egypt's Presidential political advisor, Osama El-Baz ruled out the idea of holding an urgent Arab Summit to solve the current crisis.
In a forum held by Saudi Ambassador in Cairo Ibrahim Al-Brahim, El-Baz said that the way to solve the crisis is to consolidate with the Palestinians and not to hold a new summit.
Egypt wants to achieve a comprehensive permanent and just peace in the Middle East through mutual commitment, he added.
The Arab states are not in a weak position and Arab armies are strong and capable of deterring any aggression.
Our desire to achieve peace springs from power and the Arab nation is qualified to gain more power and can face challenges, El-Baz elaborated.
