Straw condemns Israeli violence in Gaza

British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw expressed Monday his deep concern about the escalation of violence in the occupied Palestinian territories.
A statement by the Foreign Office said that Straw telephoned Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom earlier on Monday and told him that Israel's response to any attack by Palestinian activists should come as part of international legitimacy.
