Egypt, Ethiopia sign contract to manufacture irrigation, drainage equipment

Egypt and Ethiopia signed yesterday in Addis Ababa a partnership contract between the Ethiopian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and the Egyptian Golden Trade company working in irrigation technology in Egypt's Toshka project.

The contract provides for the manufacture of modern equipment for the Ethiopian projects at investments of $ 10 million throughout the coming 10 years.

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mahmoud Abu Zeid and his Ethiopian and Sudanese counterparts attended the signing ceremony on the sidelines of the 18th session of the meetings held by the Eastern Nile Basin countries: Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan and Eritrea.
