Egyptian firms are currently undertaking executing power projects in Libya at a cost of $120 million to raise electrical tension among the Arab Maghreb states from 220 to 400 and 500 KV in a way that will enable them to launch a linkage with Europe via Spain and Morocco, said Minister of Electricity Hassan Younes following meeting with his Libyan counterpart Omran Abu Karaa currently visiting Egypt.
The two Ministers discussed ways of boosting technical cooperation in the various power fields.
Talks also dwelt on the field of unconventional energy resources.
On his part, Abu Karaa lauded setting up the Arab Investments and Engineering Services Company which implemented its tasks in Libya.
