Families of the detainees on Mauritania call for release of their children

Families of the new detainees in Mauritania issued a strong statement in which they denied what was stated by the minister of the interior in Mauritania on a link between their children and the leaders of the coupe attempt.

The statement said that the authorities detained their children since two days under the charge of kinship with Mustafa Weld al-Shafee -- who is held responsible by the regime over smuggling the leaders of the coupe to Burkina Faso -- charges denied by al-Shafee where they defied the regime to produce true evidence on that.

The statement confirmed denial of what was stated by the minister of the interior on these allegations, and called for the release of the detainees unconditionally and immediately, and also to apologize and compensate the detainees over what was inflicted on them of material and morale damage.

The families also stressed cling to defend themselves at the due time and place. They also called for "apology from the people of Mauritanian over what was inflicted on them as a result of " the Pharaoh's aggressions and practices by the oppressive regime."
