Israel kills 32 Palestinians, continues attacking north Gaza
Palestine-Israel, Military, 10/1/2004
Palestinians security sources announced that 100 Israeli tanks incurred in the north of Gaza on Thursday evening after the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon approved the Israeli army to expand its attacks against the area.
These sources explained that 35 Israeli tanks incurred into Beit Hanoun and other 30 tanks headed to Beit Lahia while other 30 headed to the eastern sector of Jabalia.
Palestinian medical sources announced that a group of 32 Palestinians were killed during the attack in the north of Gaza which is considered the largest bloody operation since the eruption of the Palestinian Intifada 4 years ago.
The two directors of the two big hospitals in Gaza said they received 38 bodies and indicated that the occupation forces still hold the bodies of other 4 killed on Thursday. A matter which was confirmed by one Israeli military source.
Meantime, the Hamas movement called in a statement on Arab citizens to organize demonstrations and marches and activities deploring the "Zionist terrorism, and supporting the resistance and the right of the Palestinian in Palestine," accusing the US of ensuring the cover for Israel in its current military operations in Gaza.
Hamas also called on the UN Security Council to carry out its due role and "shoulder the responsibility to stop the Zionist massacres against the Palestinians."
