Al-Azhar condemns abducting of civilians in Iraq

Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar Mohamed Sayed Tantawi yesterday denounced the kidnapping of civilians in Iraq saying that such kind of acts should not be linked to Islam or Jihad.
Abduction of people is a crime that is condemned by Islam and by all laws of humanity, he said in a lecture entitled "Human rights in Islam" which he gave at the opening of the cultural season of the Ministry of Awkaf (Islamic endowments).
