Syrian Official source statement on Zahera explosion

"Israeli authorities have taken a dangerous step this morning by the assassination of the Palestinian citizen, Izzuddin al-Sheikh Khalil, who was living in Syria after he had been deported by Israeli occupation authorities to Marj al-Zuhour in Lebanon during the first Intifada in 1992," an official source told the Syrian Arab News Agency SANA.
The source added that "this terrorist operation constitutes a dangerous development that Israel is the responsible for."
" Israel asserts its intentions to destabilize the region at a time when regional and international efforts are being exerted to ease the tension in the region." The source said.
