American soldiers injured in two booby trapped cars explosions near Falluja

An American military spokesman said that two booby trapped cars blew up near a headquarter of the Iraqi national guards in one of Falluja suburbs and this resulted in injuring several American and Iraqi soldiers. No more information was available on the nature of the explosion and number of victims.

Meantime; ten persons were killed and other 26 injured in an attack by gunmen against a caravan of oil trucks transporting fuels in al-Teifeh city to the south of Baghdad; according to Iraqi military sources.

A source in Alexandria police to the south of Baghdad said that gunmen opened fire at the trucks and set fire in it and destroyed three vehicles owned by the Iraqi national guards.

Security officials said that violent clashes erupted between the Iraqi national guards and gunmen and this resulted in killing or wounding several people.

In al-Sader city, one Iraqi child was killed ( five year old) and other 9 injured in a bombardment by the American planes against a crowded quarter in the city.

At least one person was killed; one of them is in a serious condition when one missile fell on al-Karradeh quarters in the downtown of Baghdad. Witnesses said that one missile fell on a residential area and resulted in material damages.

In Falluja, some 15 persons were killed and other 37 injured in raids carried out by the American military planes during 24 hours on the city which is situated to the west of Baghdad.

The Iraqi police announced that one Iraqi peasant was killed in the clashes that took place on Saturday evening between American soldiers and resistance members in Hob Hob village near Baqouba to the north of Iraq. Family of the killed man accused the American soldiers of opening fire at him.
