Riyadh: one extremist arrested
Saudi Arabia, Local, 9/25/2004
The Saudi ministry of the interior announced yesterday that the Saudi security forces arrested a wanted extremist in the northern city of Tabbouk. The ministry explained that the man who was detained on Thursday has links to another also seized in Tabbouk following fire exchange with the police on Monday during which three security men were injured.
The ministry described the man as a wanted terrorist, but did not say if he is on the list issued in December 2003 of 26 most wanted persons over suspicion they are members in al-Qaida organization.
