Cairo airport receives first Iraqi airliner in 14 years

After a 14-year hiatus, the first Iraqi Airlines plane landed at Cairo Airport this week.
On Wednesday, the Tri-Star plane came from Baghdad en route to Algeria with an Iraqi sports mission aboard.
The 13-crew plane made a two-hour stopover in Cairo to fuel. It carried 91 members of the Iraqi sports mission that will compete in the 10th Arab Games, to kick off in Algiers on Friday.
The Iraqi National Airlines resumed regular flights only to Amman and Damascus. It has not operated any flights to Cairo since 14 years.
