Bush condemns beheading hostages operations
Iraq-USA, Politics, 9/23/2004
The US president George W. Bush denounced the hostages beheading operations in Iraq. He stressed that these actions will not undermine the will of the US to continue its mission in Iraq.
In an election related event in Pennsylvania, Bush said that what he had described as terrorists will not defeat US forces in Iraq. He said that the only thing they can do is to chop heads of people and try to weaken the US will.
For his part, the US secretary of state Colin Powel stressed -- following receiving the body of the second killed hostage in Iraq -- that his country's policy is not to negotiate with kidnappers of hostages.
