Saudi Arabia: one wanted was arrested, three police men injured

Saudi Arabia's ministry of the interior said that the Saudi security forces arrested one wanted extremist following a fire exchange in Tabbouk city yesterday.

The man who was described by the ministry as a wanted terrorist, opened fire on the police men when they tried to detain him in a building in Tabbouk. The man and three of the security forces were injured. The ministry statement did not say whether the arrested man was on the list of the 26 most wanted, suspected of being members to al- Qaida organization.

Since 2003, al-Qaida organization carried out suicide explosions and fire exchange operations in the Kingdom aiming at expelling westerners and damaging the economy and oil industry.
