Zaqzouk: 350 Muslim preachers, Qur'an reciters delegated abroad in Ramadan

"It has been decided to delegate 350 Muslim preachers and Holy Qur'an reciters to the Arab and Islamic countries as well as the different countries of the world to revive the rituals during Ramadan (Muslims Fasting Month),"said Egypt's Minister of Awkaf Mahmoud Hamdi Zaqzouq.

He added that his ministry has drawn up a plan to be carried out throughout the governorates on organizing the seminars and religious sermons at mosques during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

He said that an intellectual Islamic Forum will be held at Al-Fath Mosque and Al-Hussein area in Cairo where the top scholars of Al-Azhar and a flurry of Muslim thinkers will deliver religious lectures.

On the other hand, the minister said that he had received a lot of complaints from citizens in which they complain of the loud sound of Azan (call to prayer) especially during the dawn prayer and wondered who is meant to benefit from this clamour, stressing that one Azan is enough for every area.
