Darfur's rebels position decides the fate of Abuja talks

Caution prevails the peace negotiations in Abuja following the announcement of the two rebel movements in Darfur on the collapse of the talks with the Sudanese government. The negotiators of the African Union waited for the final stand to be taken by the delegation of the "Justice And Equity" before issuing a final announcement over the fate of this round of talks.
The Sudanese governmental delegation announced readiness to resume the talks at any time. The chairman of the delegation Majzoub al-Khaleifa stressed that Khartoum is expecting a positive answer from the rebels and mediators of the African Union over the negotiations.
Al-Khaleifa attributed the stumbling of Abuja negotiations to foreign intervention as the two rebel movements are waiting the results of the American pressures and threats to issue a new resolution from the UN Security Council after the negotiations achieved new strides in settling differences.
The Sudanese official said that the main reason for the announcement of the "Justice And Equity" movement on the collapse of the current negotiations is the escape of the two movements from implementing their obligations to items 4 and 6 of Anjamina agreement on the need of gathering rebel forces in certain locations.
Meantime, the US announced its persistent to impose its decision submitted to the UN Security Council over Darfur. A draft resolution which discusses the possibility of imposing sanctions on oil industry in Sudan. This came despite the state of split inside the council over this American decision. China Looked to use the veto against the new version of the American draft resolution.
The American draft resolution demands the Sudanese government to dismantle the weapons of the Jangawied militias, recommend the expansion of the African Union observers mission and calls on the UN to investigate the question of committing what is described as genocide.
In the context of the American pressures on Sudan over Darfur, the Republican majority leader at the US Senate Bill Frist proposed a draft resolution that recommends the UN human rights committee to suspend Sudan's membership over what he described continued bloodshed in Darfur.
