Khamenei for Islamic trading block

The Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution of Iran Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called on Islamic countries to broaden scope of cooperation and trade exchanges among them.
Ayatollah Khamenei, who met Wednesday heads of delegations from 55 countries participating in the 29th session of the Islamic Development Bank's Executive Council, said that member countries are demanded to eliminate obstacles to trade exchanges in the Islamic world and give special priority to social justice in their programs.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that achieving progress in the Islamic world requires strong cooperation, integration and joint planning to get use of scientific and technological advancement.
He highlighted the idea of setting up an Islamic common market, saying that Islamic Development Bank could play an important role in this regard, taking into consideration the huge, various resources enjoyed by the Islamic countries.
