Syrian-European business center-agreement
Syria-European Union, Economics, 9/16/2004
An agreement to set up two European data centers at the Chambers of Industry and Trade in the northern city of Aleppo was signed Wednesday between Syria and the European Union to show activities of businessmen in both sides and further boost mutual cooperation.
Head of the Social and Human Department at the Delegation of the European Commission in Syria Mrs. Fabianne Bessonne said in a speech that these two centers and the other three similar centers opened in Damascus and Homs make Syria the first non-European country authorized to run such a data network.
She added that these centers are designed to provide information and direct consultative services to various firms regarding social policies, programs and legislations for setting up small and medium establishments.
