Mrs. Mubarak addresses circumcision conference in Nairobi

Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak will address the opening session of the international conference against female circumcision due in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi on September 16-18.
The National Council for Motherhood and Childhood Secretary General Mushira Khattab will read out Mrs. Mubarak's speech.
The speech will stress Egypt's rejection of female circumcision as it runs counter to the dignity of girl children and all international human rights covenants.
Khatab will shed light on the Egyptian government's efforts to eradicate the practice.
