Fire in faculty of law of Damascus University Fire, no casualties

A fire erupted on Tuesday morning in one of Damascus University buildings, Faculty of Law causing only material losses.
Higher Education Minister Hani Mortada told SANA reporter that fire fighters were able to control the fire and prevented it from extending and covering other buildings.
Rector of Damascus University Mohammad Issam Awa made it clear that the fire caused only material losses but the college's documents and files were not damaged.
Preliminary indications showed that reasons behind the fire is an electricity short in the part which is still under restoration.The wooden ceiling in the building led to the quick spread of fire.
