Morocco, Yemen to cooperate in health sector

Morocco and Yemen signed Wednesday in Rabat a cooperation agreement in health to consolidate cooperation in the development of health services through the exchange of studies, seminars and health strategies.
The accord, signed by Moroccan health minister, Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah and his Yemeni counterpart, Mohamed Al Noua•mi, also stipulates the exchange of experiences in relation to health sector reform and coordination in regional and international forums.
Morocco engages under the agreement to welcome Yemeni doctors, pharmacists and technicians for training. The north African country will also receive Yemeni students to pursue their education in Morocco as well as patients to benefit of medical care in Moroccan hospitals.
Part of a joint pharmaceutical policy, Yemen commits to open its market to drugs coming from Morocco and to allow Moroccan pharmaceutical companies to take part in bids made in Yemen.
