Zeibari told journalists following meeting with the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh that the meeting dealt with the aid the Arab states can offer in preparations for the general elections due by the beginning of 2005 in Iraq and in the field of "rebuilding Iraq and preserving its security, unity and territorial integrity." For his part, the Yemeni president stressed " Yemen's stand in support of Iraq and backing any effort that can end the occupation and achieve security and stability in Iraq." The Iraqi minister also met with the Yemeni prime minister Abdul Qader Bajmal and his peer Abu Baker Abdullah al-Qurabi. He said that his visit falls in the course of the efforts exerted by the Iraqi government to strengthen bilateral relations with the Arab states.
