Golan people delegation ends visit to homeland Syria
Syria-Israel, Politics, 9/9/2004

Hundreds of Syrian citizens of the occupied Golan have returned back to their villages after paying a visit to their motherland Syria and meeting their families and relatives, defying the Israeli occupation authorities "which try to separate them from each other."

The Syrian citizens expressed commitment to their Syrian identity and loyalty to the motherland and its President Bashar al-Assad, stressing they will renew the visit in spite of the occupation authorities' bids to prevent them from doing so.

They also emphasized determination to restore the occupied Golan and liberate it from the Israeli occupation troops "which practice all forms of aggression and repression against them."

They were seen off by members of the Executive Office of al-Qunaitera Governorate and a great number of relatives and families.
