Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif witnessed Tuesday the signing of two agreements with the American communication giant CISCO Systems.

The first agreement was co-inked by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Tarek Kamel and CISCO regional director for Europe and the Middle East.

Kamel said that the agreement provides for setting up a regional training center in Egypt's Smart Village in three years with $ 15 million investments.

He added that the center will provide services for schools and university students and train them on E-learning and IT.

The second was co-signed by CISCO regional director for Europe and the Middle East and a representative of Telecom Egypt.

The minister said that the second agreement targets small and medium companies affiliated to the business sector as well as supporting the civil society.

He asserted that the signing of the two agreements is a practical step on the road of implementing the government's program to expand e-learning services and IT training.

On his part, the CISCO official welcomed cooperation with Egypt in the field of IT, lauding the government's efforts in training people qualified to absorb communication technologies and its applications in the different fields.
