Police arrest alleged serial killer of children in South-western Morocco

The alleged serial killer of children in the south-western Moroccan city of Taroudant has been arrested, police sources revealed Tuesday.

The alleged killer who was not identified, is described by police as a Ç psychopath homeless È who was living near the place where the bodies of the eight victims were discovered few days ago.

According to Police, he confessed to the crimes and sexually abused his victims before killing and burying them. He said he committed his first crime three years ago.

The mutilated bodies of the eight teens, aged between 13 and 16, were found late last month in plastic bags in Taroudant.

The death of one of the victims dates back to less than three months, while the other victims' date back to 6 months to three years, Said Louahlia, who is in charge of the autopsy, told MAP recently.

Louahlia, director of the medical-legal Institute of Casablanca's Ibn Rochd hospital, revealed that traces of blows were found on their heads and bodies. He said the bodies were buried before they were unearthed again as soil was found in the bones of the victims.
