400 statues inside Pharaonic tomb near Sphinx

Culture Minister Farouq Hosni said that the mission of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) under SCA Secretary-General Zahi Hawwas unearthed an ancient tomb dating back to the 26th Pharaonic dynasty.
Hosni said that the tomb is located at the area between the Sphinx and Chephren Pyramid and was built 2500 ago.
The new discovery comprises 6 chambers one of which boasts 400 small statues which are believed to be placed beside the dead to answer on his part questions in the hereafter.
