Khartoum exempts Egyptians from getting visas to Sudan
Sudan-Egypt, Politics, 9/3/2004
Sudan decided Wednesday to exempt Egyptian from getting visas to enter the country in accordance with the four freedoms agreement concluded between the two countries.
This decision was taken by Interior Minister Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein. The decision, to be effective on September 8, also exempts Egyptians from administrative fees.
Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir Thursday signed the Four Freedoms Agreement, a boost to relations with neighbouring Egypt.
The agreement, which covers the freedoms of ownership, movement, residence and work between the two states, was probed by Bashir and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak during their talks in Cairo on July 15.
