12 policemen, five Sudanese injured in a demonstration in Cairo

Security sources in Cairo said yesterday that 12 Egyptian police men were injured while the security forces tried to disperse a demonstration organized by Sudanese and Somali refugees in al-Geeza city to the west of Cairo, in protest of the delay in getting donations they receive from the UN office, noting that five demonstrators were injured in the incident.
Other news reports quoted sources in the police that the demonstration which said that the Sudanese community in Egypt organized, resulted in injuring 60 police members, while one demonstrator said that 40 Sudanese were also injured. Many of the demonstrators raised banners calling for sending international forces to Darfur in Sudan.
