Solidarity with Palestinian prisoners voiced
Palestine-Regional, Politics, 8/25/2004

The oldest Palestinian prisoners who were liberated from the Israeli prisons, Mohammed Abu Jbara Abu Sukar and Ziad Abu Ayn, arrived in Cairo to participate in the meeting of the Arab League's Council on the level of the Permanent Representatives on Wednesday.

The Palestinian prisoners will discuss the development of the Palestinian detainees in the Israeli Jails.

In a statement issued today, Abu Sukar said that he will "review the detainees tragedy on the AL's Council and the Israeli torture against them."

Abu Suker, who spent 27 years in the Israeli prisons, stressed the necessity to support the Palestinian detainees to dilute their suffering.

For his part, Abu Ayn condemned "the international community silence over the Israeli brutal practices against the Palestinian people, particularly the Palestinian detainees."
