Palestine-Israel, Military, 8/25/2004

The Israeli occupation army yesterday renewed its invasion of Nablus city to the north of the West Bank and imposed curfew, while the Israeli military vehicles were deployed intensively in several areas of the city.

The Israeli forces reinforced by military vehicles besieged Askar and Balata camps to the west of the city and detained 300 Palestinians after it had gathered together some 1,000 of youths in the school of the camp to the east of the city.

In the West Bank, the occupation soldiers broke into several houses in Bethlehem and detained the leader of al-Aqsa group Imad Ebeyat.

On the other hand, Palestinian security sources said that the occupation army detained yesterday in Toulkarem to the north of the West Bank a local official in al-Aqsa group of the Fatah movement and one of his aides.

One Israeli settler was slightly injured as a result of an attack against a car he was riding in Farsh al-Hawa street on the northern side of Hebron, according to the Israeli radio.
