Iraqi oil exports restore back to normal level, 1.9 million barrels daily

The South Oil company in Iraq said on Sunday that oil exports from the south returned back to normal level, which is 1.9 million barrels daily since Saturday evening after this production was reduced by half during the past 13 days.

One official in the company said that pumping was resumed towards Basra and Kour al-Amya ports at a rate which reached 85,000 barrels per one hour ( 1.9 million barrels daily ). The same levels that used to be before halting pumping through one of the pipelines.

The official who asked to be anonymous, did not disclose the real reasons that made the company resume the pumping operations.

Worth mentioning that one official in the South Oil company last Tuesday said that the company will continue closure of one of the two main oil pipelines to the south, for security reasons. He explained that pumping operations reduced between 36,000 and 42,000 barrels per one hour and at a rate of 25,000 barrels to Basra port and between 15,000 to 17, 000 barrels to Khour al-Amya port.
