Project for Institutional Development of Organic Agriculture in Syria

The FAO Italian Government Cooperative Program has agreed to fund and implement a project on "Institutional Development of Organic Agriculture in Syria" at cost of US$ 998,920 over a period of three years. The project responds to the Ministry of Agriculture request received in this matter.
The overall development objective of the project is to establish institutional framework for a coordinated and integrated development of organic farming in Syria. The project will address legal aspects, capacity building, institutional development as well as know how required for relevant aspects of organic farming.
