One Hamas leader survived assassination; five Palestinians killed in an Israeli bombardment in Gaza

Five Palestinians were killed and other seven injured today at dawn in an Israeli air raid carried out by one Israeli helicopter at the house of a leading figure from the Islamic resistance movement ( Hamas) in al-Shuja'eya quarters to the east of Gaza.

Witnesses said that the two- storey house is owned by Ahmad Saeed al-Jabaari, one of Ezz Eddine al-Qassam group, the military wing of the Hamas movement.

News reports stressed that al-Jabaari escaped the assassination attempt. The identity of the five men was not known. Other seven were injured in the Israeli raid one of them is in a critical condition. The wounded men are members in the Hamas movement and were sitting in the courtyard of the house in al-Shuja'eya quarters.

By the killing of the five Palestinians number of the killed Palestinians increased to 10 in 24 hours. Three Palestinian children were killed on Tuesday after another nine- year old child was killed by the occupation bullets in Nablus to the north of the West Bank.

The Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians near Atsamouna settlement, to the southern west of Khan Younis in Gaza.

In the West Bank, news reports said that the occupation forces launched detention and breaking in campaigns and detained several Palestinians including Muhammad al-Sahili, the secretary of the Palestine National Liberation movement ( Fatah ) in al-Ein camp.
