News on detaining four wanted in Saudi Arabia, al-Qaida confirms one of its activists killed in Saudi Arabia

Several Islamic web sites yesterday quoted a statement by al-Qaida organization in which the network of al- Qaida in Saudi Arabia confirmed the killing of one of its activists to the south of Mecca, southern west of the country.
The sites confirmed the killing of " the Mujahid hero Abdul Rahman Bin Obeid al-Khalaf al-Harbi as having been killed in a confrontation with the emergency forces of the government " near Mecca, according to the statement.
The statements also added that Abdul Rahman also took part in the confrontation of al-Khaledeyah quarters in Mecca and also in " deterring the soldiers of Tyranny" in the operation of breaking into al-Sweidi quarters in Riyadh and three day later in the operation of al-Mahya complex and in deterring the "Tyranny soldiers" in al-Faihaa quarters in al-Riyadh."
The Saudi ministry of the interior announced that the security men killed one chased man in Mecca after he had thrown a bomb on them as they were approaching him, adding in a later statement that the killed man is Abdul Rahman Bin Obeid Allah al- Harbi and that he is an expert in booby trapping of cars and had participated in the attack against a residential complex in Riyadh in November 2003.
On the other hand, the Saudi daily al-Watan said that the security forces detained four wanted persons over suspects of having links to terrorism following breaking in operations in Breida and al-Madina al-Munawarra cities.
The paper did not explain whether the names of the detained persons are on the list of 26 persons suspected to have links with al-Qaida organization issued by the authorities in December 2003.
