Nazif probes upping Indian investments in Egypt in IT

Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif discussed Monday with the Indian ambassador to Egypt Rajendra Singh upping India's investments in Egypt.
In statements after the meeting, the Indian ambassador said that he handed over a message to Nazif from his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh.
The message dealt with boosting bilateral cooperation mainly in the information technology, trade, economy and scientific domains, as well as increasing the volume of Indian investments in Egypt, said the ambassador.
On his part, the premier asserted the necessity of promoting Indian-Egyptian ties.
Magdi Radi, spokesman for the cabinet, said that an Indian- Egyptian trade agreement is now in the making, adding that a joint Egyptian-Indian committee is to convene soon in New Delhi.
