Americans visit sacred temple
Egypt-USA, Local, 8/16/2004
A group of 25 Americans visited Abu Simbel Temple, south of Aswan, yesterday.
The members of the group, called 'Ramses', consider the Temple of Ramses II as one a sacred place, 'where their bodies and souls are inspired after the saying of certain prayers'.
An antiquities official at Abu Simbel says the group visits the temple twice a year and that they consider it to be 'blessed'.
Members of the group speak highly of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
