Indian Ambassador hilights relations with Syria

Indian Ambassaor to Syria Aref Shahed Khan stressed his country's support to the Arab just issues, calling for the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions on the Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab states, including the Syrian Golan.

In an interview published by the Syrian newspaper of "al-Baath" on the anniversary of Indian's National Day, Khan described as strong and multi-sided the existing Syrian-Indian relations, pointing out to the rapprochement in positions of the two countries regarding all international issues of mutual interest.

He also stressed his country's support to the issue of freeing the world from weapons of mass destruction, asserting that the process of nuclear disarmament should be comprehensive and obligatory.
