Israel brings back part of the plane downed over Iraq in 1967

An Israeli military source said yesterday that Israel restored back part of a plane for its air force downed over Iraq during the June 1967 six day war.
The restored part is part of the plane wing having on it the "star of David," a jetfighter of " Fotor" type, Iraqi fighters of " Hunter" type downed it during an operation it was carrying in Iraq.
This part was preserved as a victory memoir in one of the palaces of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. The Israeli daily Ma'ariv said yesterday that Israel asked the US to hand it over part of the plane which was put in the air weapons museum.
