Al-Ahram and the Israel's nuclear facilities
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 8/11/2004

Egypt's al-Ahram daily on Tuesday called on the international community, particularly the great states and the International Atomic Energy agency to work efficiently to force Israel to close its reactors and to stop nuclear programs "that constitute a great danger not only on the region but also on the international peace and security."

The paper, in a front paged editorial, stressed the necessity of Israel's commitment to the international law and resolutions and to uncover the dangers and problems in its nuclear facilities to save the neighboring countries from those dangers.

The daily said Israel has distributed anti-radiation tablets on its citizens due to a dangerous radiation leak from the Israeli reactors threatening the Middle East.

The daily warned against the dangers of the Israeli nuclear facilities on the human life in Palestinian territories and the Arab neighboring states.
