$ 150 million in projected increase of Egypt's exports to Canada

Egypt's Trade Representation Bureau in Ottawa, Canada, called on Egypt to sign a bilateral free trade agreement so as to enhance exportation between the two countries.
In a report prepared by the Commercial Minister Plenipotentiary Abdel Mon'em Moussa, some Egyptian have great export-oriented potentials including cotton yarns, ready-to-wear clothes, textiles, fresh foodstuff products, wood furniture, carpets, leather products, carbon and plastic products.
Egypt's exports to Canada could be increased to $ 150 million by the end of this year via enforcing agreements that have been clinched between Egypt and Canada, Moussa added.
In addition, the Canadian Commercial Bureau organizes symposiums on Egypt's exports at the interest of Canadian importers as well as boosting Egyptian exhibitors' participation in significant Canadian fairs.
Moussa called for following up marketing studies on a host of new Egyptian commodities to get acquainted with the Canadian market along with upgrading the Egyptian exporters' guide comprising data on Canada's markets.
