Syrian- Lebanese cooperation to serve expatriate issues
Syria-Lebanon, Politics, 8/6/2004

Syria's Expatriates Minister Buthaina Shaaban Thursday met a delegation of the Lebanese Expatriates Council for Investment chaired by Naseb Fawaz.

Talks during the meeting dealt with activities of the Lebanese council abroad, and the possibility of increasing coordination and cooperation between Syrian Expatriates Ministry and the Lebanese Expatriates Council in the service of the national issues.

Shaaban said her ministry coordinates with expatriates ministries in the Arab states to find joint action mechanisms that would be capable of serving and contacting Arab expatriates abroad.

Fawaz, for his part, expressed the council's willingness to cooperate with the Expatriates ministry in Syria in all fields and offer the expertise of the Lebanese Businessmen in the interest of Arab causes and work for the success of the development march led by President Bashar al-Assad.
