Iraq, Kuwait announce resumption of diplomatic relations

Kuwait and Iraq announced the resumption of their complete diplomatic relations, severed since 14 years since the invasion of the Iraqi forces of Kuwait.
A joint statement issued on the occasion of the visit of Iraq's prime minister Eyad Allawi to Kuwait and broadcast by the Kuwaiti news agency said that two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation relations between the two states in various field and agreed to develop and enhance bilateral trade and economic relations through the establishment of a joint higher committee chaired by the two states prime ministers and meets annually and the prime ministers to be represented by ministers concerned when it is necessary.
On Thursday, Saudi Arabia announced the resumption of diplomatic relations with Iraq.
