El-Sherif: Egypt won't dispatch troops to Sudan or Iraq

The Shura Council Speaker and National Democratic Party (NDP) Secretary-General, Safwat El-Sherif, said that Egypt under President Hosni Mubarak is keen on solving the Darfur crisis and establishing a democratic regime in Iraq.

He added that Egypt seeks to achieve the Palestinian unity and stressed that Egypt will not send forces to Iraq or Sudan.

This came during El-Sherif's meeting with the members of the third group of the NDP youth. The meeting was attended by Minister of Youth Anas Al-Fiqi.
