Al-Amoudi admits taking part in a conspiracy to kill the Saudi crown prince

The US justice department announced that a prominent Muslim American admitted his participation in a Libyan conspiracy aiming at the assassination of the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz.
In a statement the US justice department said that Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi who has got the American nationality admitted before an American federal court of three charges including " participation in a conspiracy to assasinate an alley in the war against terrorism."
The statement added that al-Amoudi met officials in Libya in March 2003 in order to " discuss provoking riots " in Saudi Arabia. The statement explained that with the development of the plan, a-Amoudi learnt that the actual objective of the plan was the assassination of the Saudi crown prince Abdullah."
However, al-Amoudi lawyer Stanly Cohen said that the American government admitted that al-Amoudi role in the assassination attempt was in its lowest contribution, noting that he was not fully aware of the conspiracy.
