Al-Aqsa burns the building of the intelligence, the headquarters of Jenin governor
Palestine, Politics, 7/31/2004

News reports in Jenin said that members of al-Aqsa martyrs of the Fatah movement today at dawn broke into the building of the intelligence in the city which is situated to the north of the West Bank and set fire in it and destroyed its content. The reports said that the gunmen transferred the pictures of President Yasser Arafat and the martyrs ( who were killed in confrontation with the Israeli forces) to their cars before setting the fire. They also prevented civil defense cars from having access to the intelligence building.

This, however, came hours after members of the groups burnt the headquarters of Jenin governor Qaddoura Naser who was appointed several days ago. The burning was in protest of not executing their demands.

The leader of al-Aqsa forces Zakaraya Zubeidi said in a televised interview that the escalation came in retaliation to the intelligence chasing of the resistance groups and gathering information about them instead of ensuring protection to them.
