Irbil government premier in Damascus tomorrow
Iraq-Syria, Politics, 7/30/2004
Well-informed sources in Damascus said that the prime minister of Ibril government, the Kurdish district in northern Iraq Nijervan al-Barazani will arrive Damascus tomorrow ( Saturday) where he will be holding with the Syrian officials talks might be linked to the Syrian concern over " Israeli activities in Northern Iraq."
Al-Barazani ( nephew of the leader of the Kurdistani democratic party Masoud al-Barazani) is accompanied by member of the political party in the Party Azaad Berwari.
The same sources expected that al-Barazani aims at " containing the Syrian concern on news on Israeli activities in northern Iraq," especially in light of the direct military support given to the Kurds by Israel in the 1960s and 1970s.
