Occupation: Saddam did not have a stroke
Iraq, Politics, 7/30/2004
The Iraqi human rights minister Bakhteyar Amin said yesterday that the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has an chronical inflammation in prostate but he refuses to undergo tissue tests to find out if it is cancerous.
Meantime, news reports quoted one American army officer as saying that Saddam did not have a stroke, nor died. A spokesman for the ICRC said that " Saddam's illness is a rumor disseminated by the mass media."
In a statement to al-Jazeera TV yesterday, Amin said that the X ray test and blood tests did not show anything dangerous with the exception of the inflammation, noting that he is in a good health condition.
