Gul for boosting relations with neighboring states

Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul Wednesday said Turkey gave the priority to enhance and develop economic and trade relations with neighbouring countries.
In a speech to a meeting of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Gul stressed the necessity of resolving the Middle East issue, adding instability in the Middle East negatively affects Turkey.
"Turkey is studying the possibility of contributing to the efforts which aim at making the Middle East a peace region," Gul added.
On Iraq, the Turkish Foreign Minister stressed necessity of protecting Iraqi territorial integrity and sovereignty.
