Rafsanjani calls for cooperation among countries of the region

Chairman of the Iranian Expediency Council Hashemi Rafsanjani Sunday said regional and international cooperation among states of the region is very important, referring to the latest developments and situation in the occupied Palestinian lands and Iraq.
During a meeting with the newly-appointed Turkish Ambassador in Teheran, Rafsanjani urged countries of the region in general and Iraq neighbouring countries in particular to exert more efforts to protect Iraq's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He pointed out to the available capabilities of Iran and Turkey and the necessity of investing them in order to enhance bilateral relations.
